Teena has been employed with LBS for just under a year in the role of project assistant. Along with Shannon and Angela; Teena will tell you that whatever it takes to get the job done is where you’ll find her most.
Teena loves family and thus enjoys the fact that LBS provides her with a family oriented team environment. Teena’s strong work ethic and organizational skills along with her integrity and problem solving skills make her a perfect match to LBS. It is said by her co-workers that she’s a ‘go-getter’ and since she enjoys learning all aspects of new construction project, that would be a true statement.
Teena is a devoted wife and mother of four - 2 boys and 2 girls and loves spoiling her 5 grandchildren.
In her pasttime, Teena enjoys wave catching while listening to some country or southern rock, boating and spending time with her family. On vacation you might find her relaxing on the beach with her chocolate bar or nestled into a log cabin in the mountains with a bowl of her favorite comfort food, chili.
Eating and cooking are her hobbies and the mountains are where she vacations. Asked her favorite quote and she quoted Psalm 91:1-2 He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, "He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in Him I will trust."
As a last note she says this about LBS…. I like working with Howard and Jimmy in our Christian environment and for a Company that has integrity. We are all like family and help each other out when needed.

Jim Durante, Jr., a partner and vice-president of HSL, Inc., brings over 40 years of construction experience to the organization. He is Howard’s right hand and assists him with every aspect of the business. In addition, he serves as project manager and oversees many of our projects, while supporting Howard with estimating.
Jim met Howard while they were both working for L. White & Co., Inc. in Fredericksburg, Virginia. He joined L. White & Co and worked as a consultant in the Construction Management Division during the construction of a regional jail project, before officially joining the company as General Manager and then Vice-President. Prior to L. White & Co., he owned and managed his own general construction company.
Jim is no stranger to hard work either. He began his construction experience working for his father at American Bridge (a division of U.S. Steel), as an iron worker at age 16 and worked through college in this capacity. After college (Hartford Community College, Boston College and University of Baltimore), he worked for his father’s steel fabrication business for six years. He began his career there welding/fitting, overseeing the plant, and then helping with estimating and sales. His practical and technical knowledge and attention to detail, afford him the ability to oversee and complete his projects successfully and within budget.
Angela has been employed with LBS for 12 years in role of project assistant. Most of her work is in contract preparation, proposal writing and permit processing. Angela will tell you that whatever it takes to get the job done is where you’ll find her most.
Angela likes the fact that she can visually see the work they put together and then the feeling of accomplishment she gets from seeing the “completed" project. “Watching something go from a pile of dirt to a beautiful building or addition that people can use on a daily basis, is incredibly gratifying.”
Her ability to bring to LBS a 110% work attitude she says is often mistaken for being too detailed oriented and anal but someone has to fill that role might as well be good ole’ me. I am a loyal person and believe in doing whatever it takes to get my job done.
Angela is devoted to her husband and devoted mother of 2 boys and one girl whom she claims is 16 going on 25.
Shannon has been employed with LBS for 7 years in role of bookkeeper. Along with Angela she will tell you that whatever it takes to get the job done is where you’ll find her most.
Shannon is a devoted mother. When not at work you’ll find Shannon relaxing with her chocolate and a hidden bowl of pasta. When asked where you’d spend all your vacation time you’ll find that Shannon is a beach lover.
Jim and his wife Peggy are active members of Life Point Church in Spotsylvania, Virginia. His hobbies include enjoying his wife’s wonderful cooking and golfing.
Howard is involved with his church, Howard is not only a member and deacon serving at Mineral Baptist Church; he enjoys coaching and ministering the youth in Upward Basketball, as well as playing, singing, and writing Gospel music. Howard is a family man and when he’s not enjoying a relaxing evening with his family you can find him and his son somewhere on the water fishing.

Teena says she has 4 big successes in life and those are her children and her biggest challenge is trying to win the lottery. One must play to win it though.

2. The Constitution only guarantees the American people the right to pursue happiness. You have to catch it yourself. ~Benjamin Franklin
